Digital Media Degree Program

 Full Sail?s Digital Media Degree Program was specifically designed to mimic the production structure and workflow of web development and multimedia studios. Students in the Digital Media program spend 13 intensive months exploring subjects like design and art theory, fundamentals of web design, digital media production and assembly, interactive media design, and real-time 3D graphics. This rigorous and unique approach to teaching the art of web design and multimedia has resulted in extraordinary success for Full Sail graduates, who have created websites and motion graphics for a variety of companies, musical artists, and feature films ? from WebMD to Kodak, ABC to Nike, Paul Thomas Anderson?s Punch-Drunk Love to Madonna?s Re-Invention Tour.
Full Sail?s philosophy and curriculum focus on hands-on learning as the best way to develop the skills needed to build a career in the entertainment media industry. To this end, students in the Digital Media program spend a majority of their time in computer labs, using the same technology and computer programs utilized throughout the industry. While learning their craft from instructors who are industry professionals, students develop a wide variety of multimedia projects that will eventually be collected and assembled as a demo reel for use post-graduation.

The main focus of Full Sail?s Digital Media Degree Program is on building multimedia content, and each of the core Digital Media courses serve the production process in some way. After courses in computer graphics and web design, students create several products in Digital Publishing, in imitation of a publishing-based document review cycle with a client. After courses in interactive media design, digital media production, and real time 3D graphics, students start on their final project in Digital Media Assembly ? producing an interactive product from initial concept to final distribution.
